Special message to the visitors

R&G BRENNER INCOME TAX CONSULTANTS, established in 1941, has been a family operated tax business for nearly 70 years. Our service is very personal. Most of our clients have been with us for generations. They trust us with their tax and financial matters, and we value that trust.

The history of R&G Brenner
Betty Brenner, Robert M. Brenner, David S. Brenner (circa 1955)

Our long standing Times Square Office closes it doors on April 15, 1989.

The company name is officially changed to “R&G BRENNER INCOME TAX CONSULTANTS”, the same name we use over 20 years later.

Robert is now operating out of Great Neck Executive office. R&G Brenner slowly eliminates carbonized snap outs, and computerizes each office.

Bill Irving from UNITAX is our first computer program supplier and printer.

Robert and Carol move from Merrick to Great Neck, the Mets win the World Series over the Boston Red Sox in 7 games, and Robert celebrates his 50th birthday.

The M-1 lease is bought out by developers Olympia+York from Canada.

The cigar store finally sells out leaving R&G Brenner as the sole commercial tenant in the M-1 building.

David Brenner passes in March, 1979.  Baby Rosie is born in January.

1979 is the start of uninterrupted growth for R&G Brenner.

M-1 building demolition rumors are true and all commercial neighbors are selling out. There are only two ground floor tenants left at 435 Lexington Avenue: R&G Brenner and the cigar store.

Benny is literally growing up in Elmont Main Office, and doesn’t seem to mind.

Talk of M-1 building being demolished.

Current R&G Brenner President Benjamin K. Brenner is born.

Robert and Carol are married.

Total of 31 offices for this tax season, including 3 in New Jersey.
